I've unfortunately stopped coming here a lot. During the summer, I'd check the site a couple times a day but didn't see any activity. I've started posting more on another site though that started becoming quiet as well.

They are calling his bluff (if it is indeed a bluff). Signed their 14th rounder to a $450k bonus, and their 4th rounder to a $1.5M bonus so far. Two more major signings should be coming as well. At least 2.

agreed on that. you'd think the list would be littered with utility/AAAA type guys that needed the boost.

doesn't shock me at all that ortiz did the roids. he should be suspended for one year though since he said that's what should happen.

i wouldn't say Blanton sucks. he's got an ERA barely over 4 and has a 3/1 K/BB. that's pretty good for a #3 starter.

their pitching might still be a bit short, but it's still a good trade to get him for this year and next year.

Phillies upgraded their rotation but it's still not that good. Blanton and Moyer suck. Happ is going to come back to Earth. Pedro is completely useless now.
