Not bad really, Ryan Church is a late bloomer, had 43 doubles last year, Schneider is a defensive specialist, alright?

I'm listening to Omar on WFAN. He considers Church a prospect...

The Mets should have kept Milledge. Surprised that they would get rid of someone with the type of potential that he has.

They overrated and rushed him. He still has more value than Church and Schneider.

As redswin08 requested The Mets are going to trade Estrada. Just take a look at this: newyork.mets.mlb.com/team/player.jsp?player_id=283051They didn't even bother posting the pic of him in Mets attire. And everything you hear that Estrada was supposedly a throw in is not true. Schneider is the defensive upgrade as they want a more defensive-minded catcher. Ryan Church seems to be what Nady was. Basically a guy they like who they think could flourish if given a starting job. He's a stop gap for Carlos Gomez or Fernando Martinez. Milledge was overvalued and rushed. They held onto him for too long, which hurt his value. His off-field issues, while grossly exaggerated by the media, were likely unwanted because they thought he wouldn't fit in with the clubhouse. He'd be like Greg Jefferies in the 80's. He was a prospect who never fit in with the team so they got rid of him even though he was talented.

wow. just wow. I guess I can understand the thinking of Omar. I don't see how a GM could make this move. There are plenty of catchers out there who are as good as Sheinder. Bottom line is if he was patient he could have gotten a lot more for Mildredge. And if he couldn't, like gopack said, the might as well hang on to him.

Milledge.
My friend with sources reassured me that there is a method to Minaya's madness. There is an ace that they can, and likely will, get.

Just sayin...

Yes. He also told me why it died after it didn't go down that week. The rumor was confirmed by Keith Law to have been a possibility about a week ago.
Believe it if you want. I don't care.
