I would never take Manny over Cabrera. They both suck when it comes to fielding. But Cabrera is very young but has a lot of experience (a rare combination). Cabrera is paid much less. Cabrera puts up great numbers in a pitcher's park, with no protection behind him. I think I'd take Cabrera third over any other position players if I were starting a franchise. Mauer would be second. We all know who would be first.

Sucking at 3B is far worse than sucking at LF. I'd take Manny anyday.
