Jennings, bullpen shaky in Astros' loss
Starter charged with four runs in five innings of work

Tigers at the plate: Craig Monroe was 2-for-4 with a solo homer in the first frame. He drove in a run in the third with a single up the middle as part of a three-run inning. Ramon Santiago was 2-for-3. Brennan Boesch's three-run triple off Ezequiel Astacio put the Tigers ahead in the ninth.
Astros at the plate: Brad Ausmus' RBI double in the third drove in Craig Biggio for Houston's first run. Luke Scott and Morgan Ensberg logged back-to-back hits in the seventh. Mark Loretta logged an RBI with a sacrifice fly in the seventh. Luke Scott's two-run double in the eighth put the Astros ahead, 5-4.
Tigers on the mound: Starter Chad Durbin allowed one run on two hits over four innings, walking one. Zach Miner allowed four runs on four hits with two walks and one strikeout.
Astros on the mound: Starter Jason Jennings allowed four runs on eight hits over five innings, striking out two. Chad Qualls and Trever Miller followed with scoreless frames.
Grapefruit League records: Astros 13-9; Tigers 15-10-1.
Up next: The Tigers will host the Yankees on Sunday. Jason Grilli will take the mound for Detroit, while the Yankees will counter with right-hander Jeff Karstens. The Astros will travel to Port St. Lucie to play the Mets. Left-hander Wandy Rodriguez will face right-hander Mike Pelfrey.
