After Sunday's rainout in Philadelphia, the Astros return home for a brief two-game series against the Marlins, beginning on Monday night. The Astros will turn to Sunday's scheduled starter, lefty Wandy Rodriguez, while the Marlins will send righty Anibal Sanchez to the hill.
After the two-game set, Houston heads out on the road again with a nine-game road swing to Cincinnati, Milwaukee and Pittsburgh.
The Astros had their modest three-game winning streak snapped in an 8-5 loss to the Phillies on Saturday at Citizens Bank Park.
Pitching matchup FLA: RHP Anibal Sanchez (1-0, 5.40) Sanchez makes his third start of '07, after being pushed back a day because of Saturday's rainout in Atlanta. In his last start, Sanchez logged his first win of the season, giving up three runs on eight hits in six innings against the Brewers.
HOU: RHP Wandy Rodriguez (0-1, 3.86) Rodriguez is 1-1 lifetime in four appearances against the Marlins, with a 6.17 ERA. Despite a solid start against the Cardinals on April 6, Rodriguez took the loss. He went seven innings and gave up three runs on four hits.
Player to watch Morgan Ensberg has been torrid over his last four games, going 7-for-17 (.411). He went 3-for-4 against the Phillies in an 8-5 loss on Saturday, scoring a run. He's hitting .278 this season.

From the looks from this article look like Houston got the advantage for the 1st game. But I think the Marlins are the stronger team. Sanchez is not a 5.40 type of pitcher.

I think they have just as good of players, but no TEAM aspect. It must be hard to be a Marlin's fan with the ownership they have. Everytime they do good, they dump the payroll. Too much turn around. They have some great players...ie...Cabrera, Willis, Uggla..etc. but can never get into a consistent team attitude because of the revolving door.

Our team president Sampson basicly killed our team fan base. Everytime I read a quote from that guy, its usually an insult to the Marlins fans.

I'm so glad Ensberg is waking up a bit - I was getting worried. I'm not worried about Lance, but I don't have as much confidence in MO. I hope it continues.

What a great team we would have if they all got in a groove at the same time. I guess all teams would.

I wish Berkman would start hitting....its starting to worry me, even though I'm pretty certain he'll come around.
Wandy looked pretty sharp against the Cardinals.
Marlins did great last year, but a lot of their players are in their second years. I'm glad we miss Willis this series, and I'd probably pitch carefully to Cabrera (saying that a lot of the Marlins order has gotten off to good starts, especially their new CF Alejandro De Aza .

Look like the whole nation still know who's Willis is and not Olsen or Sanchez is.
