His line so far at Fresno (AAA): 31.0 IP, 0.29 ERA, 12 H, 1 ER, 46 K, 11 BB. Small sample size maybe, but those are some sick numbers. I cannot wait to see this guy break into the majors. Lincecum-Cain-Zito has the potential to be downright cruel. BTW, for those of you who haven't seen his funky delivery, there is a really cool video discussion of it here: www.baseballthinkfactory.org/files/mechanics/discussion/controlled_fury_tim_lincecum

By the time Lincecum and Cain are good, Zito will be washed up.

Well, Cain is good now, Lincecum will be good very soon, probably this year, and Zito is only 29, so I am not sure why you say this.

Zito's best season was 5 years ago. Ever since then his stats have gotten worse. Fewer K's, more BB's, higher ERA. Also the fact that he's never been on the DL makes you wonder if he'll get a serious injury.

If Zito loses as much as one mph on his fastball, he's finished.

There an article that say he throw the slowest fastball in the major.

His change-up is faster than his fastball.

Still not sure about him. There's a good chance he'll break down at some point (even if it is five years down the road). Small body + violent mechanics don't exactly bode well for future health. On the other hand, he should be great while he's healthy. I think eventually he'll be a closer though, similar to K-Rod.
