After all the anticipation, all the hoping and dreaming, it is here. It's sitting there like a fat Barry Zito 82 mph fastball.

The San Francisco Giants - "All Out All Season," as the slogan says.

(Rejected campaign: "2008 Giants: Nothing To See Here, Move Along To '09.")

What does that mean exactly, All Out All Season?

Is it the injury report? No, that would be "All Out For At Least Part Of Season."

Is it the offensive game plan? No, that would be "All Outs All Season." This could lead to an excellent complementary ad, though: "All Outs All Season - Because Even If It's The Opponent, Seeing A Perfect Game Is Pretty Special."

Is it a subtle post-Bonds catch phrase, as in, "We Finally Have Players Who Try All The Time"? That's it.

Yoda would not approve. Do, or do not. There is no try.

• The creative department's best effort so far is the Zito sign hanging around San Francisco: "Throws left until there's nothing left." Yes, but what happens after the fourth inning?
