It's not the first time someone has did it this year. Bengie Molina hit two home runs in the same inning when he and the Giants faced the Mets earlier this year.

So no, A-Rod shouldn't become AL MVP just for hitting 2 home runs in the same inning, since others have done it before him this year.

No one should get it just for doing that. But look how hes been all YEAR. Monster stats. Also may I add that A-Rod came limping into the dug-out right before the game to play? He was a DH because he was injured and still hit those homeruns.

Besides, he's allowed 30, yet still has a 3.15 ERA, 14 wins, and 203 K's.
He's allowed 11 at home. They don't call it the Homerdome because of how pitcher friendly it is. Other than that, he's allowed 5 in Jacobs Field (Indians have killed him all year, not sure how hitter friendly it is), 4 in Skydome (also hitter friendly). Other than that, he's not allowed more than 3 home runs in any other stadium.

And yet he has the 3rd best ERA in the league. How many home runs he's allowed is like the number of strikeouts a hitter gets. They're both things you want to avoid doing but you can't be judged solely on them.
Take A-Rod for example. He strikes out roughly every 4 AB's and has over 100 strikeouts in the past 9 seasons. Yet he hits over 300, drives in over 100 RBIs, and hits around 40 home runs every year.
