Rays, you've toned your act down a little bit, but that other Marlins fan is just unreadable, especially during a game thread. Yes, I stand by what I said. There are ridiculous statements made on this message board, but it is not unique in that regard. This is incorrect, I was in error. I somehow got confused and I thought Rays troll is Fish troll. This guy, (Rays) is the unreadable one. My mistake. Im only unreadable to Philly inbreds like you. |

The Marlins aren't even my least favorite team. I like a lot of the players on that team, and they have a good team. It never ceases to amaze me that people can wrap their lives up so much in being a fan of a team which plays a kid's game for a living that they develop hatred for people they've never met, just because the other person likes a different team.

Sorry, Seaver, when a fan says "we" it is not the royal we. The Royal "we" is specific. When the Queens says "we," she only means herself, not all of England. Regarding a fan using "us," "we" and "you guys," it makes no sense. I have nothing to do with how the Phillies play, or who they sign, so why would it make sense for me to brag or for another team's fan to get on me for whatever the Phillies do? It is completely stupid to go on a message board and figuratively thump your chest because of something that a player on your favorite team did. My argument, in this case, does hold water, Rays is engaging in wishful, or hopeful thinking. He has no way of knowing what either team will do from now until the end of the season, and he is trying to rationalize away the fact that the Phillies are ahead of the Marlins. Trust me, I'm not getting proud of the Phillies for their record just yet, and I would advise fans of the Marlins and Mets do refrain from pride at this point as well. Who cares? A lot of people use "we" when referring to their team. The only time people bring it up and bash people for using it is when they're losing an argument. Quit whining about it. |
