I'm not playing because I would have to leave in the middle of it, but for the first topic I would pick Pujols. The reason I'd pick a position player over a pitcher is that a position player plays everyday. A pitcher comes every 5 days or so.

That a 1.1 IP worth for a pitcher. A pitcher pitch an avg of 7.0 ip per game. If the position player play 5 games, he'll get a worth of 6.2 ip. Look pretty close to me. But since we're talking about a dominating pitcher, we're talking about a pitcher who should have good endurance right while all-star hitters sometime get their AB wasted by intentional walks. |

Pujols doesn't get walked very much. If the alternate choice was Ryan Howard, I'd pick Santana anyday. But Pujols was out for a few weeks, and still finished near the top of nearly every offensive category. He had about 5 more strikeouts than homeruns. It doesn't really matter because you'd be fine picking either one of them. |
