sorry, that 5 min. just happened.
This series is going to come down to the bullpen I believe. We all know that the yankees have great hitting, and the Indians have pretty good pitching, with the 1-2 punch of CC sabathia and Fausto Carmona. So basically, strength against strength. I think that the yankees and indians will split the first 2 games of the series. You have to believe that the yankees will get at least 3 runs on either ace of the indians. And, with Wang and Clemans likely going in the first 2 games, one of them will deliver a solid start.
The next games, and possibly the first 2, will come down to the bullpen. The yankees big weapon that we've all heard about has been Joba Chamerlain. This kid has been outstanding since coming up from the minors, with a blistering fastball going along with an absolutely nasty slider. For the yankees to win, this kid needs to pitch the way he has since his call-up. I believe that Mariano Rivera will have yet another solid postseason, and will not allow a team to win if the yanks are winning after the 8th. For the indians, the bullpen is a major question. Joe Borowski has been shaky all year long. Because most of the games in this series will be close games, the indians need him to be strong in the closer role. In the setup role, Rafael Betancourt and Aaron Fultz will need to come up big.
All that being said, I think that battle of the bullpens will be won by the yankees. The series will be very close, and very entertaining, and in 5 games, the yankees will win 3 to 2, with 3 or possibly 4 of those games being determined by 2 or 1 runs.

Alright I say the Indians are going to lose, You know why? Because the Yankees are hot right now. When your the underdog team for much of the season, and try to fight your way back to the race, that should lit a fire under the players. Yankees were the most dominating team in the second half of the season, and that is what they had to do to win the wildcard from so far behind. Many people thought that their season was over after their first month. But when Wang, Pettite, Mussina heals from their injury and make one of the best comeback in team history, if they can do that, then imagine what they can do now that their pitching staff is more healthy, with Clemans added to their rotation, and the always mighty lineup. They have soon to be MVP A-Rod who hit 50+ HR, Jeter, Damon, Milky Cabrera, Bobby Abreu, that lineup can go on and on! The Indians are facing the best team in the 2nd half of the season, if the Yankees can pull off the season that they did, then why can they not win a 5 game series. Indians also can pull a Detroit Tigers because of inexperience in the playoff, they haven't been in the playoff for a long time, so the pressure can get them. This series should be all Yankees.
