Woot, and young K-Rod still have plenty of games left to reach the 60 games mark. Awesome starting rotation plus average lineup to win many low scoring games is the perfect recipe to give their team closer a lot of chances to save games.

You know besides the "save" stat he's having the worst season of this career. yep, no joke.

It's pretty sad actually. Joe Nathan, Mariano Rivera, and Joakim Soria are all having better seasons than him. That's just off the top of my head, and just from the American League.
The sad part is he's not even a top 5 closer in the game, yet he's going to get paid like a #1 STARTER.

LOL. What a joke. Cheap save today. I will be laughing my ass off at whoever signs this guy. Every save is cheap. Mets will probably sign him. However, his glove side mechanics are very different from before. He bends his knee when he lands on it instead of keeping it straight. It puts less strain on his arm but decreases his velocity. It usually takes awhile for relievers to get used to this change.

If the Yankees sign him and move Mo to setup I will be pissed. If they sign him and K-Rod goes to setup and move Joba to 7th inning, we can have some 6 inning ball games. I wouldn't mind that.
But yeah the Mets would be stupid not to sign him, with Billy injured and all.

1) Rivera would not become a set-up man for K-Rod. 2) K-Rod wouldn't sign to be a set-up man.
Just because he's a big free agent doesn't mean the Yankees will sign him.

I know. Mo is our closer, and thats fine with me. I know K-Rod won't sign to be a set-up after this season. Just sayin, would be nice if the Yankees could play some six inning games, instead of worrying whenever we have a small lead.
