Holliday deserved it more, but Rollins wasn't an awful choice IMO. He was the first player in HISTORY to have 30 doubles, 20 triples, 30 homeruns, and 40 stolen bases. Holliday's home-road split was 3 points shy of a 300 point difference. Rollins' home-road split was a 40ish point difference. Put Rollins in Colorado and put Holliday in Philadelphia and you gotta wonder who would put up the better numbers. He didn't deserve the GG award, Tulo did. He didn't deserve the Silver Slugger award, Hanley did. He didn't deserve the MVP, but it wasn't nearly as much of a "highwary robbery" as the others were because the award is based on more then just "stats". Jimmy Rollins was the leader of the Phillies and was the person who when the Phillies were down getting late in the game, he would spark the team. People raved all year about how he was a sparkplug of the Phillies, a team that led the majors in come from behind victories, and he was the biggest reason why.
Unfortunately, the Rockies fans get to live with what Cardinals fans have had to live with at least two times, maybe three times. A player that deserved the MVP (Albert Pujols) and didn't get it whether it was to the Posterboy for the Steroid Era (Barry Steroids) or to the man who led Pujols in only two major statistics and was killed in every other meaningful "value" stat (St. Louis native Ryan Howard). Trust me, it's alright once, but when it gets to be more then that, it's just not fun.

People raved all year about how he was a sparkplug of the Phillies, but he did'nt, a team that led the majors in come from behind victories, and Ryan Howard was the biggest reason why. fixed

Rollins being named the NL MVP is a poor decision. Holliday definitely deserved it over him.
