He has a sore hip from the triple he legged out a few days ago. The funny thing is that on a ball hit into the OF at Citi Field, the guys on the Mets bench are shouting "Triple!" which Delgado has lead them in doing.

Seriously. At least the Phillies have some good players. The Twins have two, then a bunch of lucky pieces of shit. 3 unearned runs so far, plus a gift run from the umpire because he said it hit the guy when it really hit the knob of the bat.

I'm really pissed off at Manuel today. Delgado has been out since Monday with his hip. He has good numbers against Moyer but he sits. Then he comes in during the 8th to PH (and walks). If he was good enough to hit, he should have started. Now if he goes on the DL, they will get him back 2 weeks from today instead of 10 days from today.
And he brings in Sean Green (who can't get lefties out) instead of Stokes. Last year he was good but he's reverted into Willie who just talks more. They easily have the dumbest front office in baseball.

i was sold on this rotation 1-4 until nolasco got off to a bad start and sanchez got off to bad starts in games, i would still keep sanchez in, we cant afford to have 2 bullpen games in a row again, we already need one for our 5th starter.

They gave Willie the extension in early 2007 when they should have waited out the year. They should have fired him after the season. They botched firing him during the season which made everyone forget he was a terrible manager. They let the news of Minaya's extension leak before the end of the season. |
