The Phils got a strong performance against their AAA club, the Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs, from Kyle Kendrick who pitched 7 innings giving up 2 earned runs while striking out a career high 7 and walking 2. Jimmy Rollins went 2 for 2 before departing for Philadelphia to get ready for the opener tomorrow. Savage and Hill each pitched a scoreless inning for the Phils and Geoff Jenkins socked a 2-run home run as the big club defeated the AAA club 5-3. Anderson, Knotts and Darensbourg each pitched a scoreless frame for the Iron Pigs. The Phils open the 2008 season tomorrow afternoon at 3:05 at CBP against the Washington Nationals.

If Kendrick struck out 7 hitters then you really shouldn't take it too seriously...lol.
