you can check out the rankings of all the positions for fantasy baseball by going to mets.com and the 1st slide is the rankings, click on see more to see all of the rankings...here are the tops...
catcher=joe mauer
1st base=if u ask who, i'll find u and spear you in the throat
2nd base=also an easy 1, chase utley
SS= JOSE REYES
3B= a-rod
OF(top 3)= carl crawford, vladimire guerrero, carlos beltran
DH= travis hafner(no suprise there)
SP(top 3)= johan(no sh.it), chris carpenter, brandon webb...(i also wanna add, that john lackey is 7th??)
RP(top 3)=joe nathan, k-rod, b.j ryan
prospects(top 3)= delmon young, alex gordon, chris young
AND NOW, DRUMROLL PLEASE...TOP 3 OVERALL!!!.....
1)ALBERT PUJOLS(again, if u didnt know that, you should be killed)
2)JOSE REYES(finally being recognized as 1 of the games best hitters)
3)ALEX RODRIGUEZ(not cause he's a yankee, but i'm not so sure about this 1)

Yay!
I'm very surprised though that Wright is 9 overall. He's a good player but...I dunno about the 9th best fantasy player. Screw 3B anyways...I'll wait and take Teahen or Gordon or Edwin Encarnacion and they'll perform almost as well anyways. 3B is a deep position and it's a waste to draft one early.
Here's RotoAuthority's top 3B's for fantasy this year.
1. Miguel Cabrera
2. Garrett Atkins
3. Alex Rodriguez
4. David Wright
5. Aramis Ramirez
6. Mark Teahen
7. Ryan Zimmerman
8. Scott Rolen
9. Julio Lugo
10. Troy Glaus
Lugo seems out of place there. Labeled Teahen a "major sleeper".

Rolen is ranked low because he dropped off at the end of the year because of fatigue, but if he's not picked late (in a fantasy draft), I think he's a solid pick. He is pretty consistent once he's healthy. I'm not so sure about A-Ram being lower than Wright, but one placement off isn't a big deal.

I'd hate to get Reyes or A-Rod with the 2nd or 3rd pick. I agree, the top fantasy player should be Johan Santana. There is plenty of hitters, and not a lot of pitchers. They key in fantasy is to draft early what their isn't a lot of. |
