You can always take that to the mlb general talk forum at the mean time.

Actually you don't have to be RICH to own season tickets. If you split 4 seats for around (4 tickets X $10 ticket) $3,320 for an 83 game MLB season that works out to $1,660 per person. If you go to 40 games, that leaves you 40 games to sell to recoup the investment. In most MLB markets, you won't have any problems recouping your initial investment. And you'll have the opportunity to have gone to 40 games.
Now that MLB (and EVERY MLB team) is going using StubHub as their exclusive secondary marketplace, reselling your tickets that you won't be using, getting your initial investment back won't be any problem.

$10 tickets? Have you ever been to Yankee Stadium? You'd be lucky to find bleacher tickets for less than $20.

The Yankees have a very big long term season ticket holder base (along with Boston), but in the majority of the 30 MLB markets $10 tickets for season tickets aren't unheard of.
There's always a markup by the MLB teams from the season ticket holder price to the box office price.
Each team, and each seating area in their stadium will have different markups.
Compared to going to 15-20 games and paying "top dollar", you can take that same amount of money, and invest in full season tickets. Then you have a choice of which games you want to attend, and you can sell the rest of the games to help recover your investment in your season tickets.

I actually read an article last year that said that Angel Stadium is the best stadium to go to based on average seating prices, transportation, cost of beverages at the stadium, quality of the team-and maybe a few more things. The article said that the Red Sox have the highest average seating prices...I think it was somewhere around $35 per seat...I was actually surprised because I was thinking the Yankees would for sure have the most expensive average seating prices...but theres were only about $27 per seat. Anyways, of course the Florida Marlins had the lowest average cost per seat of somewhere around $10 LOL...but anyways, we had no shot at winning because the quality of our team is rather poor. The Angels, on the other hand, have a good team, have cheap prices for seats, beverages, good transportation...etc.

Boston ticket price is at $35 and its still not enough to prevent the stadium from getting full. Their seating capacity is the lowest in the MLB and that's why they charge so high.

Yeah, that's kinda the reason why the prices are so high. The Red Sox have the third smallest ballpark in the majors dude...therefore, there's a lot less seats, so not everyone could go to the games, and as a result-the prices go up. Also, for most places in the ballpark, a person can't even own season tickets for more than 1 year...for instance, if you wanna sit behind the green monster, you have to sign up for a contest on their official website-then they pick some people at random-and then those people get those seats if they wanna pay for them...the same applies for this picnick area that they have by right field...and I think a few more places as well.

Not enough seating capacity, and more people who want to attend games than seats available!
More demand than supply always drives up prices. Gas, New rare Autos, Concerts (Led Zepplin for example) are some everday things that supply and demand drive the "market price" of an item.

However, they're trying to make the ballpark a little bigger...for example, they added in about 200 seats in center field a few years ago. They're not just trying to make money by only supplying few seats so they could charge a lot of money for them...they want more fans to show up to the game because in the end, the more seats they have, the more money they'll make. They're actually losing money by having a small ballpark...the higher seat costs doesn't make up for the loss if they were to have double the amount of seats. Which is why they raise the seat prices...to try and make up for that loss. But anyways, Fenway is an awesome ballpark. I went "ballpark hopping" last summer and Fenway was definitely my favorite...what was most surprising is that many Yankee fans who obviously hate the Red Sox admitted that the Red Sox have a better ballpark. But maybe that's why they're getting a new ballpark...either way, Fenway rocks!!!
