One suggestion would be to have VBookie events. I was a bookmaker on another baseball site where this worked really well. You earn web bucks by making posts or being awarded them for whatever reason. Then you can use them to place wagers on events such as baseball games listed by the site bookmaker. The current lines are readily available. It was very fun.

i've done vbookie on a different site before. The biggest problem is someone maintaining it, and making sure everything runs smoothly

It's not happening, I have no idea how to upload it to the site, and I have no idea how a proboards site would respond to it(virus-wise). We can have a betting forum run without a program anyhow. And Troll, I think this would be a good opportunity to give one of our dedicated members a shot at some power.
I'm still not sure what the users could cash in their points for. Maybe they can be used towards V.I.P. race.

I think this is asking for mediocre posts. I'd rather talk to five other guys intelligently than 30 guys making posts just to make posts. Maybe it's just me.
I'm more of a quality over quantity type.
