This shouldn't be up for debate, it's the Angels. Spier and Shields are solid, and K-Rod is dominant. You can't go with the Mets because Wagner blew a lot of saves last season. The Tigers have a bad closer. The Yankees have Bruney for the 7th and the clutchest closer of all time in the 9th, but Farnsworth is a mess in the 8th. actually, wagner was 40 of 45 while converting 24 or his last 25, so yea, i guess...sounds good

Plus Wagner was healthy the entire season whereas Mo broke down from being overused.

I'm guessing that is an attempt to make me angry b/c he struck out Beltran to clinch the pennant. Sorry to disappoint, but I'm over it. And let us not forget, he wasn't exactly 'lights out' that inning.

You can't move forward while looking backwards.

Even though it's kind of funny, the Wainwright comment is irrelevant because he will be a starter. The Cardinals will probably have Springer-Kinney-Isringhausen. If Izzy's healthy, that won't be a bad 7-8-9. But that's beside the point.
The point is, the Mets' 7-8-9 punch isn't the best, but it's not bad at all. It's still top five. I'd take the Mets 7-8-9 over the Cardinals' and Yankees'.
But the Tigers have the best 7-8 combo, and someone who isn't completely worthless in the 9 position. That's why I have them first. But if anyone of those three Tiger pitchers struggle, the Angels would be first. I think K-Rod is the best closer out of all of the teams being mentioned.

K-Rod will be the greatest closer of all time.

Doesn't really matter how he shut it...
Anyways K-Rod if healthy could be one of the best all time. He is completely dominant. I'm afraid though he will get injured a couple times down the road...he puts a lot of effort in to his pitches.

It doesn't matter how he shut the door, they still won.
