AL Rookie of the Year time. Finally get to give my boys some props.

Finally decided on Gordon over Dice-K. Remember when Berroa won over Matsui? Matt Garza I did not include because i read somewhere he isn't eligible for the award since he already pitched 50 IP, even though he'll still be considered a Rookie this year. Weird. Bannister might be a stretch, but he has incredible make up and CBS Sportsline also pegged him a sleeper for the award. D-Young will be good, but not this year, he definitely needs to improve his plate discipline, otherwise he won't have a good year(s). Iwamura looks like a Kaz Matsui type to me, put him up there just incase

- Phil Hughes (NYY, I don't think he'll be in NY long enough to win it, can't count him out though)
- Brandon Wood (LAA, Again he probably won't be up long enough)
- Kei Igawa (NYY, have to mention him, might get a couple votes)
- Akinori Iwamura (TB, Said he wanted to steal 40 bases, but only stole 15 in his best year in Japan, lol)
- Juan Salas (TB, Could be their closer by June and will get votes if he does)
