NL Rookie of the Year time! CF Chris Young (AZ) C Chris Iannetta (COL) RHP Homer Bailey (CIN) C Miguel Montero (AZ) 3B Kevin Kouzmanoff (SD) Honorable Mention- Tim Lincecum (SF, Strikeout machine, probably won't be up long enough)
- Mike Pelfrey (NYM, Same situation, don't think he'll be up long enough)
- Andy LaRoche (LAD, Moves way up if he cracks the opening day roster, which I doubt he will at this point)
- Troy Tulowitzki (COL, I'm a bit skeptical on him, I think he'll take a little longer than a year to fully adjust)
I think Bailey will be up by Mid-May, which will make him a viable candidate. Montero is a power bat at catcher, he'll take a while to adjust to but playing catcher helps his stock. I think Young is the runaway winner with this, he could have 15 HR and 25 steals this year.

I'm going to go with Young, he's got the best raw talent of any rookie coming up this year, and I think he'll get the neccesary at-bats with Arizona to get the award. Also look for Carlos Quentin and Stephen Drew as possible candidates from the D'Backs. Arizona also has second-year youngin Connor Jackson, who I see have a breakout year this year.

what about carlos quentin from arizona or stephen drew? Because neither of them are rookies anymore, both had more than 150 AB's last year.
