Rockies at the plate: Matt Holliday launched the first Cactus League home run of 2007 off Jon Garland in the fourth, as the Rockies batted around and scored five during the inning. Brad Hawpe had three hits, including two doubles, and Javier Lopez doubled twice and drove in two.
White Sox at the plate: Tadahito Iguchi and Jim Thome delivered back-to-back doubles during a two-run third, with Thome just missing a home run to left. Juan Uribe had two hits, and Brian Anderson doubled home a run.
Rockies on the mound: Aaron Cook had a strong spring debut, working two scoreless innings. He struck out one, walked one and gave up Joe Crede's single to right.
White Sox on the mound: Mark Buehrle worked the first two innings and allowed four runs on six hits, walking one. Jon Garland gave up six earned runs on eight hits in two innings. Closer Bobby Jenks left with shoulder stiffness.
