Second baseman on Saturday's 'This Week in Baseball'

Saturday's "This Week in Baseball" will focus on what's new this year with the Diamondbacks and their fast-talking, Gold Glove second baseman.
For the segment, which TWIB producer Allison Potocki called "The Orlando Hudson Show," Arizona's loquacious infielder wears a wireless microphone for the Diamondbacks' April 24-26 series against San Diego as well as part of Spring Training.
Potocki promised viewers will see what his teammates, opponents and umpires already know about him: he never stops talking.
"I think that Orlando Hudson's going to be really funny, just because it's not all the time you get to hear what players are saying throughout the game," Potocki said. "It's kind of comical, because he speaks quickly, and it's hard to understand whatever he's saying. It's funny how teammates and the other team reacts when he starts going."
Said Hudson: "I'm just talking chatter like I always do. I'm talking to my teammates, having fun, talking some trash, just having fun with it."
Another segment on the D-backs provides an overview of what's new with the club this season, from the team's new Sedona Red uniforms to a roster filled with young players who spent much of last year working their way up through the team's Minor League system. Potocki said the show tries to capture "a rebirth type of element" with the D-backs.
"There's a whole new flavor on what it's like on the Diamondbacks," she said.
This will include the top five "Things You Don't Know About the Diamondbacks," presented by Gillette, and a look back at Randy Johnson's lost tooth, presented by Baby Ruth, in a special "TWIB Celebrates 30 Years."
The Pepsi Presents segment follows the A's Eric Chavez into an Oakland Wal Mart, where he helps kids fill out All-Star ballots, which will be different than a typical Pepsi Presents.
The Front Row Fan of the Week is actress Alyssa Milano, who has a line of "Touch" baseball attire for women. Potocki said Milano, a Dodgers fan, was frustrated growing up because most baseball clothing was either for men or pink, so she developed a line for all 30 teams.
"She thinks there should be women's fans clothes that women can wear and feel like they're being kind of stylish," Potocki said.
Milano talks about the Dodgers and her favorite players in the episode.
The show concludes with the weekly "How 'bout that" segment, which features the best plays of the week and background music from post-punk rockers The Actual.
This Week in Baseball airs on FOX either immediately preceding or following the FOX Game of the Week Saturday afternoon. Check your local listing for exact times in your area.
This week's FOX games are Indians at Tigers, Phillies at Braves and Cubs at Dodgers.
