im glad atlanta got him back he can help with our young lefties and he only makes the rotation that much better

I think the Braves signed him more as a pitching coach than an actual starter. All of the Braves players love Glavine, and this should help them feel more comfortable to perform better.
I love this part of the article: The only thing that would have truly made this homecoming even more nostalgic was if it could have also included Maddux. But, as Smoltz said, "You can't have a whole staff of old farts." LOL
