Totals: 141.2 IP, 51 ER, 3.24 ERA, 6.16 IP/start. Also, 15 quality starts in 23 games.
Yet the O's are 10-13 in May. What a waste of good starting pitching.

Trachsel pitched a complete 1-run game. Not even 2:30 min. It's a bit difficult for me to be happy for him after he abandoned the team in the NLCS.

Good lord, right after I post this, the O's win 3 consecutive games scoring 8, 9, and 6 runs those 3 games, and all the starters(Cabrera, Trachsel, Guthrie) pick up W's. No idea how this happened all of a sudden, but I'll take it!
Seaver: Trachsel is off to a very flukey good start on the season. All of his peripherals are terrible. He WILL come back to earth as the season wears on.

Is there any possibility Bedard will be traded this season? He's having a great first half (despite some tough luck win/loss wise) and the Orioles aren't likely to compete for the rest of his tenure there.

Nah seaver, Bedard won't be moved this season. At the deadline I'd love to trade the veteran core of this team which includes Bedard, Tejada, Hernandez, Huff, Millar, etc and rebuild the team around young talent, but the Orioles front office has made it pretty clear that they're not going to trade the "faces of the franchise". Instead of rebuilding the team they go after stop-gap free agents like Conine, Millar, Payton, etc. This is the type of poor decision making that leads to nine straight losing seasons.

That sucks. I wish teams would trade do blockbuster trades more. Now everyone just holds out and waits for free agency.

It would be a good idea to. They're not going to be competitive when they have Bedard. He's red hot right now and a team in the playoff race would give a butt load for the 2nd best lefty in baseball.

2nd best lefty in baseball? That's goin a little far IMO. I'd say Santana, Sabathia and Hamels (Liriano too) are all better. That's no knock on him though.
I actually think this team can be competitive next year. Loewen is coming back and they got a guy in AAA named Garrett Olson that I think can be pretty good. The offense is good right now...

Santana is obviously the #1 lefty in the game. They're all pretty close. Hamels is hurt by the bandbox in Philly. I'm not counting Liriano until 2008.

Bedard's line from June 1, 2006 - May 31, 2007:
34 starts, 212 IP, 185 H, 84 R, 75 ER, 16 HR, 71 BB, 223 K's, 3.18 ERA, 1.21 WHIP, 9.47 K/9, 3.14 K/BB, 0.68 HR/9, 6.24 IP/start.
That basically sums it up I think. Pretty much Cy Young material there.
