He hit .353 with 3 HR's, 9 SB's, 20 runs and 18 RBI's in 33 games last season.
He's projected to play CF and hit leadoff for the Red Sox.
This kid has a lot of talent...what do you guys think about him?

Overrated...
I see him hitting .280/.350/.390 this year...which is alright. BUT...the Boston fans are expected far too much from him. Look at his minor league track record. It's really not that special.

It might not be that special-but he's hitting in a big hitters park with major protection behind him.
The kid has some pop and a lot of speed...I expect him to be scoring a lot of runs as long as he hits leadoff.

i think that he will be playing CF too. Well, considering he hit .353 and Crisp hit .268-I would be very surprised if he didn't start at CF...

Update: The Red Sox faced Johan Santana and he only allowed 2 hits...both by Ellsbury.
Thoughts?
