Forbes: McHale Number One GM In Minnesota
Fans might disagree, but Forbes magazine ranked Timberwolves vice president of basketball operations Kevin McHale the number one general manager in the four major professional sports.
Forbes ranked GM's with three years service or more -- from number one through number 98. Although his team has a record of 26-33 this season, McHale came out on top.
The business magazine said McHale has guided the Wolves to eight playoff berths and a .539 regular season winning percentage which is more than double his predecessor's of .244.
Of the Twin Cities' other sports executives, Twins general manager Terry Ryan is ranked 53 on the Forbes list, the Vikings' Rob Brzezinski is 72 and the Wild's Doug Risebrough is 88.
