Nick Saban coached the NFL's Miam Dolphins last year. He promised the media that he without a doubt was staying in Miami, and then all of a sudden bolted off to Alabama. Why? Money. Lots and lots of it..

A-Rod is like so many players of today. Money will be the best motivator and we wonder why the game doesn't seem to have as many heros as it once had.
We were glad to see A-Rod leave Texas. Many saw him as a henderence in the clubhouse and this along with Raffy and others. So looking back, A-Rod was a mistake. Chan Ho Park was another. Tom Hicks needs to be learning from these mistakes.

Smolts "I want to finish my career in ATL"
During 2006 season "WTF another blown game by the bullpen? I demand to be trade to another team right now!"

A lot of Texas' problems is their stadium. They thought "Hey, if we make a ballpark that's really small, our players will hit more home runs". However, they forgot it's the same for the opposing team.

You think the other teams are stupid enough not to realize that these suddenly "power hitters" are just getting lucky from the small field?

I have heard every argument about the stadium. Correct me if I am wrong, but does the stadium change in the middle of an inning? Both pitchers have to pitch off the same mound.
If anything, the stadium scares most FA pitchers who see Arlington as a ERA inflation machine. And as an honest Ranger fan, I don't think veteran players take the Rangers seriously. If Hicks wants to change this, he had better get started pretty quick.
But, I have been called down by many Ranger fans for saying that most players see the Rangers as a temp rehab assignment, or a farm system to the "Bigger Teams".

Maybe they should do the humiditor like in Colorado. But yeah that should explain why the Rangers usually have a horrible pitching staff.

I have used resoning on many Ranger fans, and it doesn't work. They are now wondering why Danks is doing such a great job for the Sox, and yet the return trades we aquired seem to have lost thier spark since becomming Rangers.
Danks was glad to get out of Texas.
