After the Willis/Cabrera trade... The Detroit Tigers have only half of their 2007 Top 10 BB America Prospects left...
What should Detroit do to replenish their farm system?

Sign a bunch of those latin guys to MLC. That's what Brian Cashman and the Yanks did.

they better draft well, because teams that have no farm system can have devastating results(see the Giants)

Sign a bunch of those latin guys to MLC. That's what Brian Cashman and the Yanks did. Every team spends money in Latin America every year, some spend more than others. Yes, even the Royals spent more than 2/3 of the teams this year in Latin America, maybe even more, which included the best prospect from Panama (a catcher). The key is obviously drafting well and willingness to spend money in the draft (which they have shown). But right now their farm system suuuuuuuuuuuuuux! Might be rivaling the Astros for the worst.

This is why I think the Marlins got the better in this trade. They just need to suffer from the lose of Cabrera, Willis and the 1,000 remaining fans in the stadium per game for next season.

it was pretty much just cabrera and the possibility of willis going back to being the d-train...if he doesnt, big win for the fishsticks
