This probably wont make a difference...Granderson might miss just one week of the season, and even without him they'd still probably win the division. Renteria will probably bat in the leadoff spot while Granderson is on the DL.
Tigers placed outfielder Curtis Granderson on the 15-day disabled list with a fractured finger in his right hand.
The Tigers were hoping it was just a bruise, but X-rays showed a non-displaced fracture of the metacarpal at the base of his middle finger. He'll miss at least the first week of the season as a result of Saturday's hit by pitch. Brandon Inge should get most of the time in center while he's out. Freddy Guzman could make the team as a reserve.
