I had assumed Samson had control over the money... It's what my dad had read and told me... and the guy was nice to the fans... If you dont give a fuck about the team, why be nice to the fans?? It makes no sense.
Maybe I was wrong. I dunno, but I also dont get that if cant afford the 30 million dollar difference... Why he doesnt let that Cuban ownership group have a stake is beyond me...

Have gave art and 20 million according to the article and every famous former graduate of any university contributes to their former school...
Gloria Estefan does UM commercials... Many former UM Players counsel the current players and longtime UM Fan Luther "Uncle Luke" Campbell does as well, due to knowing their many hardships and has been a valuable role model...
Honestly, it's understandable as to why he'd show those priorities...

I'm pretty sure Loria use the stadium excuse to get his own money from it. Remember before the destruiction of the Expos, there were people suing Loria from left to right for using the team only to get personmal gain from it. The thing that really scare me about this quote the bolded part: Make you wonder how much pocket money he had this whole time and question his commitment to the team.

The thing that really scare me about this quote the bolded part: Make you wonder how much pocket money he had this whole time and question his commitment to the team. I read a Forbes magazine article that basically inferred to him being a shrewd Businessman who loves making money... The Stadium lease the Marlins have is downright dreadful. Nuff said... When we get more revenue, then we'll resign players... Oakland has the same issue... Needing a new place and they have a poor revenue stream... However, they did resign Eric Chavez to at least get some form of good publicity...

More revenue? According to ESPN analyst Steve Phillips, the Marlins makes $30M from revenue sharing. They also get another $25M-$30M from venture. That mean that the Marlins will be making $60M before they sell their first ticket. i'm sure Loria can go higher then the current $12M payroll he is paying now As for the friendly comment, I'm sure Loria was imagining those little kids as "$" sign when he shake their hands.
