Cabrera pumps up the volume?
Perhaps you've heard by now that the Marlins are offering free iPods and headphones to their players.
The reason? They want pre- and postgame music to be a private experience.
According to the Sporting News, the locker room was too rowdy last year, in part because third baseman Miguel Cabrera, now with the Tigers, liked to blare his boom box.
In general, the Marlins are hoping for more leadership. They traded young stars Cabrera and Dontrelle Willis to the Tigers and brought in graybeards Aaron Boone and Luis Gonzalez.
"There's a difference between looking at Dontrelle and Miggy and looking at Boone or Gonzalez," closer Kevin Gregg told the Palm Beach Post. "Dontrelle and Miggy are great players, but they still have a lot to learn on their own end."

But what's so wrong about having some fun before and after the game? The FO shouldn't be complaining much considering how cheap this team is getting paid.
