mlb.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20080326&content_id=2459275&vkey=spt2008news&fext=.jsp&c_id=mlbExpect Hanley's power stats to go up and his speed stats to go down. I guess the Marlins need Hanley's power more than they do his speed--but considering he's going to be hitting in the leadoff spot, it really doesn't make much sense to take away his speed. It's better to be safe than sorry--but if the Marlins are scared of him getting injured, then they might as well just bench him. I don't think this is a smart move...if he has the ability to steal a base, let him! It's not like he's old and injury prone...yes, he has a long career ahead of him and you don't really want to risk things--but any injury could happen to any player on any given day. Thoughts?

Fredi is being Fredi. But I don't get it, stealing 2nd base isn't going to affect your next at bat, unless they mean concentrating your training there. Though you can't really train yourself to run fast, it is something you are born with. Well Ramirez doesn't have to listen Fredi, Fredi ask Ramirez earlier if he wanted to bat 3rd and he said no, so why bother? Luis Gonzalez will probably step in before Freddi does.

Well...if you read the article: He still said that Hanley could get 50 SB's again if he's not beaten up.
