Because Gil Meche and the rest of the rotation has been really good. 4th I think in ERA in the AL. That was the main question mark going into the season. All this season is anyways is a bridge year, get the talent here. Next year is the jump up year.

Orioles (12-16): D
The starting rotation and bullpen have been great. Mental mistakes, lack of clutch hitting, and Sam Perlozzo's terrible in-game decisions have been costing this team.

Angels
B-
Pitching's been great, (except for the "human batting practice machine" Darren Oliver). Our team's biggest problem? No power outside of Vlad and no protection for him. Garret Anderson, (the 6'5" 240 lb. singles hitter) no longer scares any opposing pitcher and our kids are developing verrrrrry s l o w l y. Dallas Macpherson looks like the second coming of Billy Ashley, (just ask Dodger fans how that turned out while giving up on Konerko) and they expect us to sit here and NOT notice how much Glaus has produced since they showed him the door. This year he will hit his 100th HR and 300th RBI since Bill Stoneman said he couldn't play anymore. Thank GOD this is Stoneman's last year with the club.

Are you surprised by Bartolo Colon?

Bartolo is always gonna put up those numbers...when healthy. I give the Angels a C+ right now, as we are 2 weeks into May. They haven't been good as they should, but when Shea gets in gear, our offense will surge
