List who you think was the biggest surprise/dsappointment for April
Here my list: Surprises:
Barry Bonds: Many people expected with an injure leg, age, and possible not "juice" anymore, that he'll be lucky to reach 20 HR this year. Well he started hot with 8 HR already. Only 15 HR remain and with 5 more baseball months to go, he can take as much time as he want.
Alex Rodriguez: 9th inning, bases loaded, and Yankees fans show no faith to A-Rod as they boo him. With Yankees fans always letting him down when he need the support the most plus the rumor going around questioning his relationship with Jeter, its amazing that all that didn't gotten in his head and ruin his baseball career. Right now he is the leader in HR and RBI. You must have clutch to be leading RBI by 8 already.
Disapointments:
Albert Pujols: This guy is known to have his picture on many baseball website banner and logo. And no wonder why, he is known as some kind of a baseball god always hitting over .300 BA, 100 RBI, 40 HR. He is a must pick for your team. Well he been disapointing so far this year: .250 BA, 15 RBI, 6 HR. Time change to an A-Rod banner.
Daisuke Matsuzaka: Ok I'll admit, I wasn't expecting a perfect game from him, but you wouldd think by now he'll pitch a no-hitter. He is a $60M dollor man, he should be pitching shutout half the time he start a game according to some ESPN butt kisser. You would be expecting more then a plain 4.36, with already beaten 2 times already.

Surprises:
A-Rod Who would have thought he'd have 14 HR by now, 2 of which were walk offs. The Yankees are lucky he had a hot start, they'd probably be 5-18 were it not for him.
Josh Beckett I forget where I read this but whoever wrote it put it perfectly: Last year he was a thrower, this year he is a pitcher. He has had a great start, first pitcher to 5 wins and only 2.48 ERA. He's the most important pitcher in the Red Sox rotation and will likely be the ace come September.
Disappointments:
David Wright You think Pujols is bad? This kid has 5 RBIs and 0 HR. Pathetic for a guy batting 5th in the lineup. He better get his act together now that Valentin will be out and the pitching will need all the run support it can get.
Kei Igawa You think Dice-K is bad, this guy has had 1 decent start all year, and that game wasn't even a start. The Yankees overpaid for him and he pitched himself out of the rotation. If Karstens hadn't gotten hit by the line drive, the Yankees would have the highest-paid reliever in baseball.

Surprises: Chris Duncan His defense has improved, and he has kept his average up while hitting with power.
The Brewers The Brewers are pitching, hitting, and even fielding well. They have a good shot at winning the division.
Dissapointments: The heart of the Cardinals order Pujols, Rolen, and Edmonds have not hit for average, power, or just hit at all. They are not doing even close to what they are capable of.
Alfonso Soriano Hasn't shown power or average. He was injured early in the season. He might be the worst signing all offseason.

Everything is so magnified in April. If Wright, Pujols, and Soriano were doing this in July, no one would even notice.

Weaver had a horrible year last year and got lucky in the playoffs. He should be making half of what he is now.

I'm not arguing that Weaver didn't screw over the Mariners. I just think that the Cubs signed Soriano to a TERRIBLE deal, given the number of years.

*Braden*
And yes, he is worth mentioning. Only one bad start, and it wasn't even his fault. Good job Braden.

I've seen be booed after getting out with the bases loaded, but never during the at-bat. Atleast not this year..
