Then again even the managers might not even know some hidden talent in a 3rd market team like the pirates or devil rays. First of all, yes, I think Ozzie Guillen is a jackass. I'm sure he's a good manager. But calling sportswriters homos, making fun of his own bullpen pitchers, and calling out the Cardinal pitchers is not acceptable for a manager to do. Before you pull out the "LaRussa is an alcoholic, he got a DUI" card, remember that the DUI incident wasn't baseball related. He did nothing to anyone except embarrass himself. Guillen has way too big of a mouth. Anyway... I guarentee that all managers know the good players of teams like the Devil Rays or Pirates. Before each team has a game, they study the other teams on video for hours (at least I know the Cardinals do). The teams have to know every hitter, every pitcher, their tendancies, their ability... the works. I don't think anyone would be snubbed just because they are from a small market team. Ozzie Guileen said one thing to a sport writer who called him a criminal and that sports writer had bashed him before more than once. And Ozzie Guileen talks so much you cant understand him half the time. And he by far is a better person than some other managers such as Lou Pinella, Joe Torre ect. He took the team over in 2004 and tried to play his style of baseball which did not work with what the sox had (all power) So in the off season they aquire Scott Posednik and a few more guys but he wins the world series that year. It took Tony Larusse okver 12 years to do it with the cardnails. Every player that has played under ozzie guileen thinks he is the best manager they have ever played for. Even Magglio Ordonez who has a bug grudge on the white sox. By far he is the most cheerful and livily manager in baseball. If anybody knows anyone better. state them now.

Beltran is a better player than Rowand. Of course Beltran is a better player than Rowand. This thread is about who is most deserving up to this point in the season. Beltran will almost certainly have better numbers than Rowand's at season's end.

Then which OF were you talking about? The only one I can think of Guerrero. He is a monster hitter but his fielding has declined with age. Vlad usually starts out slow every year, he will be back to his old self in time.

Depends on your definition of "good person." Like I said, I'm sure he's a good manager. But when you're a manager, you can't call sports writers homosexuals, and say something like, "The Cardinals have a terrible pitching staff. Mark Mulder wouldn't even make my team." And then he said something like, "He wouldn't even be able to bump out our worst guys, like Hermanson and Cotts." That is the epidemy of jackass. He says immature things constantly. Mark Mulder wouldn't even make his staff? What the hell did Mark Mulder do to him? Then he makes fun of his own damn players? Then he went on to say, "The NL Central is a joke. Who do they have to face? Zambrano is the only good starter in the NL Central. If we were in the NL Central, we'd win 150 games." First of all... Oswalt, Sheets, Carpenter, Capuano, Snell, Duke, Pettite (at the time), and the list goes on... The White Sox would definitely not win 150 games in the NL Central. Sure, they'd probably win. 150 games would be impossible. He needs to deal with the fact that another manager doesn't like him, and not bring his immature crap to the press. Ozzie Guillen makes me hate the White Sox more than any other team besides the Cubs and Mets.

He also slammed Brandon McCarthy after they traded him. Don't remember exactly what he said, but he did.

Ozzie Guillen makes me hate the White Sox more than any other team besides the Cubs and Mets. We beat the Cardnails 20-6 10-2 1-0 Astrols we beat 2 out of three Pirates Two out of three Reds Swept We would win 110 games in the NL Central. The national League is just a joke. The Sox are in the toughest division in baseball you have the last 2 American League champions, every team except the Royals were above 500 the last 3 years. Thats much better than what the NL Central has to offer. The Cards just got hot and beat the Tigers any other part of the year the tigers would have crushed them. Last year the white sox had 5 starters better than Mark Mulder. Mark Buehrle (had a weak Second half) Jose Contraras (injured second half) John Garland (Won 17 games) Javy Vazquez ( struck out at least 10 batters a game) Freddy Garcia Won 15 games thats a good rotation better than what the cards had in 2006.

The White Sox wouldn't win 110 games because they wouldn't have a DH.

The last three NL champions were from the Central. A few series that were played against the NL Central doesn't say anything about how an entire season would go.
Buehrle sucked last year, and wins definitely don't mean as much as bandwagon fans think that they do. Braden Looper had 9 wins as a reliever. Steve Trachsel had something like 15 wins. If you know anything about statistics, you know that wins are very overrated.
Mulder was a hell of a lot better in his first three starts, than any of the White Sox pitchers were. But he had a torn rotator cuff. That's a serious injury.
The point isn't White Sox vs. Cardinals. The point is that nobody outside of the Chicago area thinks Ozzie Guillen is worth a crap. He's an immature little biotch when it comes to handling the press. He has a lot to learn. I can't believe he called out Jim Leyland...

Dude once Ozzie get release from the White Sox, I can't wait to see how he'll manage to find another job as a manager.

The White Sox wouldn't win 110 games because they wouldn't have a DH. Their opponents wouldn't have a DH either...so it evens out...
