Any fan who wouldn't want Roger Clemens is crazy. I mean come on now.

I am happy that the Yankees signed Clemens. After all they need pitching. I didn't expect this to happen, and when I saw him at the Yankee game, then I knew that the Yankees and Clemens came to an agreement. Like Josh said...If everyone stays healthy, the Yankees staff will be in great shape.

Any fan who wouldn't want Roger Clemens is crazy. I mean come on now. I wouldn't because: 1) He only pitches 5-6 innings. 2) He doesn't go on road trips. 3) He's 44 years old. 4) He'd cost too much. 5) He's an a--hole.

My complaint is the other way, why did Clemans pick the Yankees if the Red Sox clearly got a better shot?

I wouldn't because: 1) He only pitches 5-6 innings. 2) He doesn't go on road trips. 3) He's 44 years old. 4) He'd cost too much. 5) He's an a--hole. 1)Atleast he pitched 5-6 scoreless innings. Most Yankee Starters are being taken out in the fifth and sixth do to pitching bad, not a lack of endurance. 2)He will not get the same treatment as he has recently. He said that he will be staying when he is not pitching to help out the Yankees younger players. That includes road trips. The only reason he didn't take road trips in Houston was because he wanted to be close to his family. In New York, he isn't anywhere near family, so I don't think he'll mind road trips lol. 3)He may be 44, but hell Julio Francos 50. 4)The Yankees can afford it 5)You seem to have that opinion for every Yankee, so I'm not surprised. In all seriousness, I have hated him for the last few years, but that was only because he came out of retirement and has only been thinking about himself. Hey, I would think about myself in this stage in my career if I was him, too. Everyone makes mistakes. It doesn't mean he's an asshole. Clemens is a great guy.

1)Atleast he pitched 5-6 scoreless innings. Most Yankee Starters are being taken out in the fifth and sixth do to pitching bad, not a lack of endurance. He doesn't pitch 5-6 scoreless innings. Look at his ERA with the Yankees in the past: 4.48, 5.07, 4.48, 4.38, 3.91. Keep in mind this was when he was 3-5 years younger. Clemens will be hooked because of lack of endurance. Last season his he only pitched 5.96 innings per start; a steady decrease over the past. Keep in mind he pitched in the weakest division in the NL. Julio Franco is expected to throw 100 pitches for 5-6 innings every 5 days. Clemens is. That doesn't mean they should spend it. Clemens is an asshole. He's a greedy hot-head who used steroids (Just look at his last few seasons in Boston then the following 2 in Toronto). He's the Barry Bonds of pitchers.

You think he is the only one that used steroids? I'd be willing to bet that 35% of the players used some sort of performance enhancing drug in that time. And yeah Clemens had high era's when he pitched more than six innings. Give him six innings and he'll be untouchable.

Can I have some of what you're smoking? Whatever you use it must be really strong if you think Clemens still has it in him to pitch 6 innings let alone scoreless ones now. Especially in a division that has become tougher since he left. In Houston he pitched less than 6 innings per start and certainly wasn't untouchable. He hasn't been untouchable since his juiced days. Yea I know....But who did the Yankees beat in 2000? I forgot.... ;D The Yankees' monumental collapses in 2001, 2003, and 2004 and first-round exits in 2002, 2005, and 2006 have made me forget.

Atleast they have made the playoffs every single one of those years. Not many teams can say they've made the playoffs every single year since 1996.
