I saw a show where they had these collisions in sports and one was when Mark Prior ran into Marcus Giles. Prior ended up flat on his back. What an idiot, you don't run into other players when you're a pitcher.

What Prior did was the opposite of what Smoltz did. Prior was running from 1st to 2nd on a ground ball to the 2nd basemen, Marcus Giles. Giles stopped in the basepath in front of Prior. Prior didn't stop and toppled over Giles and probably broke something.
Smoltz did tagged Kearns in a run down and jammed his pinky in some freak way.
