Those records are pretty dumb. wut r u talkin about?!...he broke the single season record for homers at his position...ur pretty much saying that mike piazza's record is dumb, even though, he's 1 of the best mets players of all time

That's too obscure for me. The catcher's record is different. You can be horrible defensively but great offensively at any other position. Just look at Carlos Delgado, Jeff Kent, Jeter, Chipper Jones, and Manny Ramirez. You can't do that as a catcher. If you suck you get moved to 1B or LF. I think A-Rod also broke the season HR record as a righty in Yankees uniform. Yeah, but he's still way down on the list. Plus Mantle was a switch hitter.
