Pirates make three more cuts
Burnett, Youman and Gryboski headed to Minors

BRADENTON, Fla. -- The Pirates cut three more players from the roster Saturday, all pitchers, including two left-handers who had ERAs of less than one run per game.
Included among the cuts was Sean Burnett, a 24-year-old who spent the entire 2006 season with Triple-A Indianapolis after undergoing Tommy John surgery on his throwing elbow and missing all of 2005. The lefty notched 13 Major League starts and recorded a 5.02 ERA prior to the setback.
Burnett was 1-0 and not scored upon in three Grapefruit League outings (11 1/3 innings). He was optioned to Indianapolis.
Joining Burnett in Triple-A this season will be Shane Youman, a talented lefty who survived five preseason appearances before being scored upon against the New York Yankees on Friday. Youman was rumored to be in the running for the final left-handed spot in the bullpen should John Grabow, who's been nursing a sore forearm and may begin the regular season on the disabled list, not be available.
At the time he was sent down, the 27-year-old held a 1-0 record and 0.96 ERA.
Also involved in the roster moves was Kevin Gryboski, a 33-year-old non-roster invitee whom Pittsburgh signed as a free agent in January. Gryboski, a righty, had nine outings this spring (8 1/3 innings), and finished with a 3.24 ERA. He was reassigned to Minor League camp.
There are now 38 players in Major League camp, including 18 pitchers, four catchers, nine infielders and seven outfielders.
