Well, he'll be starting on Opening Day.

Paul McAnulty will start in left field for the Padres on Opening Day.

Jim Edmonds' injury really opened things up for the 26-year-old McAnulty, who hit .291 with 13 RBI this spring. Scott Hairston will slide over to center and Brian Giles, as expected, will start in right.

I couldn't understand why they were considering Gerut over PMac. Paul will be more of an impact bat, which the team needs.
