It seems like people have somewhat given up on him...I don't understand why.
Hes won at least 13 games for 20 straight seasons.
Not to mention, he has a career 3.11 ERA and is pitching in the best pitchers park in the league.
It doesn't hurt that he's having an amazing Spring Training so far going 1-0 with a 1.80 ERA in 2 starts.
Neither does it hurt that he ended off the season last year on a positive note going 7-5 with a 3.97 ERA in the second half.
Maddux is an amazing pitcher.

Yup, that's for sure.
In his last outing he got all 6 hitters out while throwing just 18 pitches--16 strikes.
Brilliant.

He is a great third starter at this stage in his career. He's economical, knows how to pitch/doesn't beat himself, has superb control, can still tie hitters up enough to make an impact. I'll take him for two more years, maybe a third if he still wants to pitch and hasn't succumbed to rheumatoid arthritis.
