The Rangers have claimed outfielder Nick Gorneault off waivers from the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. He hit .261 with 19 home runs and 59 RBIs in 128 games at Triple-A Salt Lake City. He hit .293 with 26 home runs and 108 RBIs at Salt Lake in 2005, but suffered a fractured knee cap in 2006 that derailed his progress. ... Matt Harrison, the left-handed pitcher acquired from the Braves in the Teixeira trade, has been named the Arizona Fall League Pitcher of the Week after going 2-0 with a 0.00 ERA in two games. Harrison, who is trying to overcome a shoulder problem that afflicted him at the end of the season, is pitching for Peoria.
