With the offseason kicking off, the Rangers look to build the team for a possible playoff team next year. The Rangers could use pitching as always, but Jon Daniels (GM), looks to fill the CenterField gap which opened when Gary Matthews Jr. left to go to Anaheim. Marlon Byrd filled in nicely last year, but he isn't the long-term answer.

I have a strong feeling that Hunter will sign with the Rangers. He has a home in Arlington that is not more than 15 minutes from the Ballpark. To me it seems like a perfect fit

What has happen with Andruw Jones. 3 years ago he was the face of the Braves, now he'll be lucky to get a decent contract offer with that garbage .222 BA.

Andruw Jones flat out stunk it up the second half of last year. I have a feeling he'll go to the Nationals they should be able to afford him

To be honest I think they should just go with David Murphy, and spend their money like on Carlos Silva who is a ground ball pitcher which in that ball park you need.

I agree with the fact that David Murphy needs to be a starter, he is a STUD. The kid reminds me so much of Rusty Greer in his playing days with the Rangers. Murphy gives it his all every chance he gets. The Rangers are lacking a "big bat" now that they've traded away Teixeira. The Rangers have the money now to persue a player of Hunter's caliber (since A-Rod opted). I expect they'll push hard to sign him. If they don't sign him, they'll go after Rowand.
Silva would be an interesting sign. If they can get him cheap, It might pay off
