1. A combined 32 wins from Kevin Millwood and Vicente Padilla, plus a combined 40 wins from Edinson Volquez, Brandon McCarthy and Kason Gabbard.
2. Akinori Otsuka returning to full strength or another veteran reliever combining with C.J. Wilson, Joaquin Benoit and others to form a top-of-the-line bullpen.
3. A career year from Hank Blalock and Frank Catalanotto becoming a reliable first baseman.
4. The acquisition of another big bat in the middle of the lineup, or guys like Jarrod Saltalamacchia, Jason Botts, David Murphy and Nelson Cruz making huge strides at the plate. Huge strides.
5. Ian Kinsler becoming one of the best leadoff hitters in the game.
6. A front-line center fielder leading a big improvement in the defense.

ian kinsler will never be 1 of the best leadoff guys in the game...not wit guys like rollins, reyes and hanley ramirez setting the bar...also, he should nvr be a leadoff guy in the 1st place, he should be batting 2nd

I beg the differ. Have you watched the kid play? Last year was only his second full year in the majors. You're right Reyes and Ramirez steal the show, but that doesn't mean that Ian can't be right up there with them. Ian is overshadowed and is often overlooked. Granted he led the majors in errors last year for his position, I think "Wash" will turn him around, heck he did it with Eric Chavez in Oakland. Until we find a leadoff hitter, Ian is best suited for the spot. Honestly I love David Murphy, I think he should be the leadoff hitter with Ian batting second.
GO RANGERS

While the original post was taken from T.R. Sullivan, I agree with you. Ian Kinsler has too much power to hit leadoff. That's why I think David Murphy is best suited for the role ;D
