Zack Greinke
He is awesome. Seriously though, I really don't know why. Maybe it's because of his depression that he had and I just really want him to succeed.
He hit 98 on the radar gun two nights ago. That was pretty sweet.

Pedro Martinez. He had the greatest peak of any pitcher since Sandy Koufax. He's also a character off the field.
Jose Reyes. His improvements over of the years in getting on base is amazing and extremely rare. His defense has also improved very well. Like Pedro, he's great off the field.

Ken Griffey Jr.
The guy is just an incredible player. He was my favorite player as a little kid and still is now. Really sucks about all his injuries though.

He may have been one of the prime players in the steroids era, and is probably a lying bastard, but he is my favorite player. He won't give you incredible defense. He won't give you speed. He can't hit for a high average like he used to. Hell, his '07 season may even be over. But whenever the Yankees need that big homerun, Jason Giambi is ready to step up and blast one high and far away to the bleacher creatures.
My favorite baseball player, is Jason Giambi.

Cole Hamels, just the fact that he's the only pitcher succeeding for the Phillies this season makes me like him. That, and the fact that he can hit the ball.
