What are some trades you think teams must do? It can be your team or another team. Please try to make them somewhat reasonable.
Wily Mo Pena (BOS) for Scott Linebrink (SD) Red Sox have been blessed with Okajima and Papelbon. However, those are the only 2 guys who have all of Francona's confidence and their performance isn't likely to last all season. They need a quality BP arm to help them get through the 7th inning as well. Linebrink is the Padres' most expendable reliever. Pena doesn't get a lot of playing time with Manny in LF and can't go to AAA without passing thru waivers. The Padres can't seem to hit anything much and could use his power to protect Adrian Gonzalez. Also playing NL pitching will help.

The Red Sox need to unload Pena. You can't put him in the lineup without him being a defensive liability somehwere. They already have one big defensive liability (Manny in LF) and can't afford to have another one. You can't DH him because that is obviously Ortiz's spot. Pena is fairly young and is a power bat so I'd have to imagine he has quite a bit of trade value at this point. I'm not sure how expendable Linebrink is at this point, but I think the Padres have a hard time turning down this offer if it is on the table. Termel Sledge isn't getting it done in San Diego and the Padres could certainly use more offense as they are 13th in the NL in OBP, 10th in slugging, and 11th in runs scored.

Once Dotel proves healthy, I'd actually try and pawn him off for Wily Mo.
Here's one I'd do...
David DeJesus to the Marlins for a couple starting pitching prospects. DeJesus is on a friendly contract, so money should not be an issue.

This is a trade that has kind of been talked about: Ken Griffey Jr. to the Red Sox for Jon Lester. Cincinnati gets a starter that they need for now and the future, and I guess Griffey would take Crisp's spot in CF or play RF. I did not just make this up, I've heard this in some places.

Griffey for Lester? Maybe if Griffey was 5 years younger. Lester for Torii Hunter seems more likely than that.
One other trade that should be done is Alex Rodriguez to the Dodgers for Wilson Betemit, Matt Kemp, and James Loney. Dodgers need hitting, badly. Martin is their best hitter and he'll take a dip b/c he's a catcher. Betemit would replace A-Rod at 3B for the Yankees. Kemp is a OF prospect (which the Yankees need) and Loney is a 1B prospect. All of these guys will fit into the picture in the future.
Another alternative for the Yankees would be to get Mark Texiera. This may cost Hughes, Wang, or some other young talent. Hamstring injuries can be annoying and Hughes could end up like Rich Harden or Mark Prior. The Yankees would be smart to sell high. Wang would be appealing to Texas since he keeps the ball on the ground. This trade will most likely not happen. But if Cashman's job is on the line and the Yankees somehow get close in the WC, this may not be far from reality.

I've heard the Dodgers aren't interested in Rolen.

just some possible Dunn trades: -Dunn to the dodgers for Billingsley/ Broxton and Matt Kemp(probably giving up too much, but they could get desperate for power) - Dunn to the angels for Reggie Willits and Brendan Wood/ Willy Aybar OR for Ervin Santan and Wood/ Aybar/ Willits - Dunn to the padres for Linebrink and Headly(sp?) (top 3B prospect)

I don't see Broxton being moved. The Dodgers will use him as their closer. Saito is 37 so Broxton is not far from taking over.

ya, thats what I figured. I'm just putting it out there because Dunn could be the deciding factor for the tight NL West. Teams will overpay so that the other NL west teams don't get him.

The Twins seem to be the best fit for Dunn but I haven't heard any rumors about them going after him and I doubt they will since the Twins rely heavily on their farm.

I would love to get Matt Garza and someone else. Don't know who yet, though

I don't think the Twinkies go after Dunn, I think it's the Angels. It's a good fit, he could bat right after Vlad in that lineup.
A package of Ervin Santana, Erick Aybar, and minor leaguer (maybe Chris Resop or Stephen Marek) should do the trick.

I would much rather trade with the dodgers though. Thats why I hope that the NL West stays tight. Santana would not be that great in Great American Ballpark. He's a flyball pitcher that gives up a lot of homeruns, and GABP is death to pitchers like that(ex. Eric Milton). For some reason I really like Matt Kemp of the dodgers.
