Its a 1 year contract. No player can turn that team around to 1st place divicion just by playing every 5th game. They are better off saving that $28M for the free agent next year. Doesn't matter, one player can't turn a team around anway. It's a team effort. Clemens would help, but no be the sole reason behind it. And remember, this is the Yankees. $28million is nothing.

I wish I was a yankees fan. It just shows how awful the MLB money situation is these days. 28 Million is nothing to the yankees, but that same amount to the reds is a big deal. It just not fair. $28M is more then my team payroll.

Yes..Even tho the Yankees were starting to do better before he came back, I think his experience can be helpful in big games. I also think he will be a good teacher to the younger pitchers on the team.
