look at his career fielding then, I do and I see a steady decline. Last year he had 17 errors, this year he already has 13. His fielding percentage has also decreased over the years. which is why i was disappointed with the mike lowell trade, cabrera belongs in the outfield, he had a few good years out there.

.298/.390/4 homers/30 rbi/ 30 runs .323/.384/ 14 homers/ 63 rbi/ 40 runs care to guess which number's belong to which player? (i think thats called being shut-up...) Mauer only played 49 games which is why i say he dosent belong in the all-star game, so you just proved my point...

Let's face it, they were both having equally successful seasons...Okajima got the vote because he's more hyped (because he plays on the Red Sox) and he is Japanese...
bottom line.

I'm saying that it's stupid to say Neshek is a guy you'd want to see succeed when Okajima isn't. Both are doing very well and if you showed me just their stats I'd pick the guy who has the 0.88 ERA.

Okajima is having a very good season. The voters made the right decision to give him the nod over Neshek although both of them are doing very well so far.
