Tons of rumors, very little action so far.
I've seen Dotel connected with about 10 teams...NYY, BOS, LAD, CLE just to name a few.
Greinke is drawing interest from like every team...lol. Dayton Moore is asking for the moon and more though...
What does your team need?

Here are a lot of rumors I've heard: Gagne said he wants to stay with the Rangers. He had listed CLE and DET as teams he doesnt want to be traded to. Yankees could consider getting him since they'll need a future closer.
A's are gonna dump some guys. Dan Johnson and Mike Piazza have come up a lot. Beane may put Blanton out but would ask for way too much.
Pirates might dump Jack Wilson since they got Izturis.
White Sox don't want to trade Garland or Vazquez but are wanting way too much for Contreras (especially after tonight).
A Texiera rumor comes up like everyday now. The Yankees were seriously interest but they don't want to trade their young arms. Boston is apparently interested in but I doubt there's much weight to it.
Dontrelle Willis should be traded since his value is not what it was before the season. Mariners seem to be the best idea since they need a SP and are not in competition with the Fish (unlike Braves or Mets who usually come up in rumors).
Scherholz won't give up Saltalamacchia or Yunel Escobar unless they get something good. I don't know why they won't move Saltalamacchia since they have McCann.
The Mets need a reliable reliever. Otsuka is the best option but he'd cost too much. Unless Javier Vazquez is available, there's no other SP worth getting (I'll take a recovering Pedro over all the scrubs available). They're deep in 2B now with Marlon Anderson (Valentin is likely done for the season, possibly his career with a broken tibia tonight). Definitely RP. Dotel's name has come up as well as Lidge, Wheeler, and Qualls. Dotel and Lidge would cost too much, Wheller and Qualls aren't worth it. They should bring up relievers in the minors but the organization would rather continue the failing "Pelfrey experiment" than do something that makes sense.

Seaver, how about David Weathers? He has a lot of experience and an ERA in the 3s this year. The reds will not ask for too much, and he can be effective in a setup roll. He' s been the closer this year for the reds because they don't have anyone else to close, and has gotten many 3+ out saves.

Weathers is an ex-Met and not a good one. Minaya never goes after ex-Mets.

He's failed as both a Yankee and Met. He's not cut out for NY. They'd rather get a more reliable arm like Akinori Otsuka.

ya, I know that. I'm just saying that he could be an option if they fail to pick up someone else.

I think Otsuka is on the DL...there's really not much on the market for relievers!

Guess What? The Nationals are trying to get Adam Dunn. This is good and bad- Last year at the time Bowden and most others thought that they had tricked the reds GM in a deal(which they had before Kearns and Lopez starting being awful). If this trade were to go through, I would want either Cordero or someone I don't feel is available in Chico. For Cordero, Bowden once asked for Homer Bailey for him, so I don't know that Dunn would do it, plus give the reds more, like a Ryan Church or Jesus Flores. I do hat Jim Bowden though, that's for sure. Who wants to build their franchise around a .250-.260 hitting power hitter who has awful defense and a bunch of strikeouts. Oh, forgot to mention that Bowden wants to sign Dunn long-term and make him the cornerstone of the Nationals.

I think Otsuka is on the DL...there's really not much on the market for relievers! The only ones are Dotel, Wheeler, and Qualls. It's likely only one of them will get moved. St. Louis should trade Isringhausen. Cleveland and Detroit would be very interested.

Dotel is a lock to be traded I think. The Astros would be smart to trade one of their relievers.

And also, Ken Rosenthal is reporting that the yankees might be interested in Dunn again for 1B because the rangers want Hughes or Chamberlain for Texeria.

Man, I love this time of year.
Another possibility: Mini-trade- Kyle Louse to mariners for 2 minor leaguers.
And, a trade that the reds do is likely to happen today, as it appears that 2 players will be called up while 1 will be sent down. My guess is that the Louse trade happens.
